8.23.21 / NCPR interviews Norman + Jason

Aug 23, 2021 — A nearly century old theater in Au Sable Forks has new owners. Norman Jabaut and Jason Andrew bought the Hollywood Theater, and plan to return the venue to a space for live performances. The couple has been organizing arts programs from Rouses Point to the St. Lawrence Valley since 2004 through their Norte Maar Arts organization. Their backyard in Jay has also been used to host outdoor art exhibits and dance performances over the past decade.

They told Todd Moe that renovating the old Art Deco building in Au Sable Forks into a coffee house, art gallery and theater space is part of their goal of hosting regional artists, and enhancing the arts community.
